Friend Bradford, The following lines coming to my hands from
a gentleman, dwelling at a considerable distance from this
place.  I could not but think them worthy of a place in the
Weekly Mercury. I am &c.
To the most ingenious pamphleteer, author of the He-Monster.
  Would you attempt to lash a guilty age, 
  And rail at vice, upon the publick stage?
  To ev'ry crime a conscious mirror hold, 
  And arm your self with satyr bravely bold,
